On the advice (from long ago) of my pal Rick, I added the "My Library" feature on the sidebar.

I love that feature. I was surprised to see we didn't share any books when I went to your profile—until I saw that you had only catalogued 26 of them.

But what you've listed does make me jealous.

On the other hand, I'm often surprised at how well the seven books they show stand for my interests as a whole.

I can't tell you how much LibraryThing has helped me. I have six boxes of books that no longer clog my shelves. And I can always find the books in them when I'm looking by using the search function. I search for the book on LibraryThing and see that I tagged it "Box3", for example. Wonderful!

Yeah, I've pretty much only logged the books that currently crowd my desk and immediate surroundings.

Only 2000 or so to go!

I've logged the books that are on my bookshelf. That doesn't help me much in finding the books that are scattered around the house, or in finding the ones that I'm constantly looking for - the ones that aren't in English. :P

Hey Maria. If you did log them, it would help you. You can just get boxes and label the boxes by numbe and put the books in them. It works great! You then go to LibraryThing first, before looking for things on the shelf or around the house. It cuts down on searching time, which for me means lots of time.
